Education Manager for CARDI is needed

CARDI, an international NGO consortium providing support to persons affectedby conflict and natural disaster is looking for qualified nationalcandidates to fill in position :
EDUCATION MANAGER to be based in Calang (Code : EM – CL)

Job Summary:The aim of Education Manager is to deliver technical expertise in Educationareas, and to assist in developing and implementing CARDI Educationactivities in Calang. She/he will work with the Education TechnicalSpecialist to respond to the educational professional development needs ofteachers, and the educational development needs of students in Aceh. Theaim is to provide access for all children to a high-quality educationalservice that is based on child-centered teaching methodology. Education Manager will report to Education Technical Specialist and CalangField Coordinator.

Essential Job Functions:
1. To work with the Education Technical Specialist in providinginformation, consultation, training, facilitation and resources togovernment and partner organizations in the area of education.
2. To assist in building partnerships with the government, districtinstitution, UN Agencies and education-related organizations for programsustainability in the area of education programming.
3. To develop appropriate partnership agreements with local educationproviders and organizations those are based on sustainable objectives.
4. To Assist Education Specialist through effective monitoring andevaluation of Education projects.
5. To provide relevant material to evaluate and assess theimplementation of education programming.
6. To document and communicate program planning and results, andprovide feedback and advice on appropriate programme implementation
7. To undertake any additional tasks identified by the EducationTechnical Specialist.

Logistics /Finance
* Assist in the management of program budgets and grants incoordination with Education Technical Specialist.
* Prepare purchase requests following CARDI procurement procedures
* Provide information to CARDI Administration, Logistics, and FinanceDepartments as requested to ensure smooth operations
CARDI Representation
* Liaise with the Aceh District Ministry of Education, UniversityTeacher Training colleges/universities, UN Agencies, International andNational NGOs in the Education sector at the district level,
* Accompany donor or other CARDI tours to field sites, when requested.* Attend meetings at the district level relevant to Education.

Reporting:
* Ensure that project goals and objectives are appropriately monitoredand evaluated, and that reports are written and submitted in a timelymanner.
* Ensure that data related to Education is managed effectively andfollow-up is completed on a consistent and ongoing basis.
* Work with the Education Technical Specialist to ensure thatstandardized systems of program data collection, analysis, presentation andreporting are in place.
* Follow-up on report writing and monthly updates as required bydonors and partnership agreements. Job Requirements/Experience Required:
* Experience in education programming work with an NGO or UN agency.
* Experience in providing training on educational professionaldevelopment, teaching methodology, community participation and child-centredlearning.
* Ability to communicate well in both English and Bahasa Indonesian.
* Familiarity with Acehnese culture and traditions would be desirable.
* Ability to work under pressure in a potentially unstable securityenvironment.
* Some experience in grant management and proposal writing ispreferred.
Educational Requirements: University degree in education essential.
